【mineral photo】classic muscovite specimen from North Korea

North and South Korea were annexed to Japan during 1910-1945. Therefore, many old mineral specimens from North Korea are stored in Museums, Universities, and even among amateur mineral collections.
This muscovite specimen is one of them which were collected from Hamgyong (威鏡) Province in North Korea (see the bottom line of the label, "威鏡 朝鮮"). The date of collection is April 1914. See the second bottom line, "大正3年4月". Taisho era (大正 Taishō) is a period in the history of Japan dating from 30 July 1912 to 25 December 1926, coinciding with the reign of the Emperor Taisho. The muscovite specimen is 15 cm * 7 cm in size.
